Would there be any problems if I don't change my IAC valve?

Why are you going to change your IACV? If your idle is jumping up and down alot, and you dont have a vacuum leak, then pull it out and give it a look.

When I do take it out how can I check if it is functioning. Which the ECU is telling me it is not.
