Looking great. :iceslolan

Your shading is very realistic. Can you share a little bit about how you did that? Thx

Becarefull about the spacing between the rim and the tire. (front).

I know those old sports cars had donuts for tires. :)

Great start! Hope the rest of the car turns out as good as the front, i will be checking back to see the progress. As aseanz pointed out, the front tyre does look quite 'uneven' if you know what mean, which can be easily rectified, other than that, it's an excellent drawing. ;)

BTW a good choice of car, I love it! Hope to see more of your work.

first of all, thanks and im glad u like the drawing. i use a q-tip and a tortillion to shade and i use the grid system.

btw, thanks for pointing out the tire. once i shade that it'll look way better, and i'll scan and post the drawing when i get farther or when im done.

ilov2xlr8: for the 250 gto, i only sign the drawings once im finished and for the rest, i block out my last name because im only 13 years old and my parents dont want me revealing any personal info about myself

acoustic: the reference site is www.0-100.it/reportages/gto_festival_2002/gallery1/gallery1.htm and its the top right pic.

there are LOTS more pics of 250 gto's on that site:

I will try to make a drawing that takes one week of time to do it like he did.
It gives a great result like with the 1962 ferrari 250. When we take the time to do it, it often give a photo-quality drawing.

That looks better than my skyline.

I am glad you showed us this because it demonstrates what can be accomplished when one lays down a full range of tone (white-->blk).
It gives the car a solid and photo like appearence.

I see a lot of artwork where the artist shades lightly. Don't get me wrong if that is what you like than cool, I am just sharing my opinion.
We are all learning.

Art is art and there are no real rules.

Ok, what was your primary shading technique?
If you don't mind sharing. If you already shared this pls show me da link. :)
I cannot always read the entire threads, ok yes I can be lazy. :)

Thx

Oh yes that...hee hee

Well I am going to finish it; I am not to happy as I tried to heavily modify the interior and had some problems.

I do apologize I should have never started my s-15 thread. Other projects came up and I had to finish those before the s15 esp. school projects. My neighbor wanted a painting of his Mudstang so I started that too, and as some know I did that Cobra for my cuz and that slowed me down.

Thx for your continued interest Mike. I will finish that car. Look for a progress post soon. I want to finish my wing on the s-15 before I post and I am close to finishing it.

Have you drawn any concept cars that you designed your self...if so I want to see what they look like because if your concepts are as good as your real cars than I will be speechless! I really have got to give you the thumbs up on this one...it is absolutely superb!

Check out my concept design some time for my thread and tell me what you think...however it doesn't compare to yours...
