Whats up with all the people dumping all this money into cars that start with nothing. I'm sick of all the Jap imports and European huppie cars. I got a '94 Camaro Z28 for $5,000, and put a supercharger, intercooler, flows with cut-out, and so on... all together I have put $10,000 into this car and I am at 600HP. I have smoked a Viper, ZO6, Carrera, Cobra, and a Skyline... for 10K! Ya get it?

not everybody has the same taste, its that simple.

Also, theres a certain sense of pride in knowing that you started with a car that was nothing before and have built it up to something that you can be proud of. Thats is something I can always respect, even if the car is still slower than a stock camaro, its the work and labour of love that the owner has put into it that matters. I'm sure many people will agree with em here on this one.

I agree with what Zwrangler said - I had to replace my starter yesterday since it died on Friday but I enjoyed doing it. I felt like I really accomplised something afterwards even though that part is probably one of the easiest things to replace! My car doesn't look like much now but I have a 'vision' of what I'd like it to do. It's on a V6 but I can at least make it look very nice and sound menacing :)

I'd be lucky if I could get 200Hp out of it but hey that's a start. After I get this one up to par, I'd like to buy a used IROC or Z-28 and tear it up! Sounds like you got a nice set of wheels there, keep up the good work.

Dude, don't get me started ok. My first camaro was nothing, V6 that didn't run, tranny that wouldn't spin, and a rear end that was all but missing. I started with 50 bucks to my name. 4 years and less than 5 grand later I had one of the best running and looking third gens around, does that qualify as something that you're "sick of?" And if your on the subject of smoking all of thise cars, if you've spent 10grand and only have 600hp you probably don't know what the hell your doing. My naturaly asperated 383 will Kill you and I spent right at 2500 on just the motor. Give me 10grand to build a car please I'm begging you. Point is, get a life and find something worth while to bitch about.

Yea man I agree, 10 grand for less than a 400 hp gain...
Post some pictures of your mods so I know what not to buy

Also, whats your deal with condemning people for modding their car (youre doin the same thing!!)..who gives a shit what the starting point is, look at the final result of some of those cars after they smoke you

Different people have different tastes and different goals... I like the idea of a race layout (MR) lightweight sports car that handles like a dream.

Some people drag race, some people autocross, some people just want their cars to look good. As long as they are doing what makes them happy, why do YOU care?
