Rev Limiter

Is there any way i can install a rev limiter on an L98 engine.. i dont know if there is one factory... and im not about to find out :P

You could upgrade your ignition.. I think the
MSD-6AL Ignition has an adjustable soft touch rev limiter in it

Well stock you have a speed limiter that'll cut you off at 110mph, but as for rev limiter I'd go with the MSD 6 or 7AL, like DaMoNe said, they have and adjstable rev limiter.

would I be able to adjust my rev limiter by putting a new ignition on my 1997 v6?

You'd have to go to the website and get the info on it, if it's compatable with the V6 then yeah, if not then..well no

Fabulous, If you just want to change your rev limit, There are a few power programmers available that will let you adjust the rev limit
Hypertech might make one for the 6's?

yea im pretty sure you could get the msd for your 6. shit if i can get it for my 4 banger superbeelte youd should be able to, and with the msd you can adjust the rev limiter, they changable, you can go as low as they make them or as high as they make them, or anywhere in between, they sell selectors where you can turn a nob to set your rpm, and it plugs into the soft touch rev

actually, fabulous, i dont think that is possible. im not rulling the possibility out, but i have never seen an aftermarket ignition system for the v-6 camaros. you can go out and get high-output DIS coils, but if you want to change the rev limiter you are going to have reprogram the PCM...
