CRX console swap

Here is a pic of my dash before.

I took the cosole off to bare the metal inside seen here.

I finally got the metal brace out after a lot of work. There were two screws there were no way I could get to so I finally got pissed and cut/broke them out. Here is what it looked like then.

After some work, (didn't put all the screws back in) I got it done and mounted. Now I just have to make a plate to cover a little gap on the right corner. It's where my SAFC will be sitting so I am not worried about it. Here is a pic of the finished product. Took me about 3 hours do do this. ( I had some wiring problems )

The guy who broke into my car was. He stole the first set. I got some more, now I am kinda bored with them. Oh well, I will get some diff ones some time.

Do you still have the metal frame that was originally in there? Did you cut or break the metal piece, or the plastic it bolts too? I am in need of a metal frame for middle console for 88-91 hatch

that is a reason to PM a person. no reason to bump a thread thats a couple months old to try and buy a part off them..
