Well, this wasn't a good run for me, but it is the first with a camera mounted to my roll bar. Thought you guys might enjoy it.

Somewhere around the 1000 foot mark, my engine bay started smoking and the car did not feel great ... hence my disposition at the end of the run :D I thought I blew the engine. It turned out to be a missing bolt on my dipstick and the tube squirmed loose and sprayed oil on my firewall. *sigh*

NICE, that launch kicked your cam's ass. Faster than any of my cars... :uhoh:

Yeah ... it is not the best cam in the world and actually that launch wasn't that strong.

It was a 1.95 60' ... My best is 1.7.
I was trying something different with my launch and it just didn't work out.

redlight! nah just playing. good run. but, ive heard that a better way to get the boost up before a launch is to rev it up and down instead of holding it in one spot.....2cents

Yes I redlighted (See my siggy).

As for building boost at the line ... I was using a 2-step rev limiter for that job (that is what the banging is). IT builds boost if yo uhave your foot floored.

Revving up and down will not build boost.
You need laod to build boost ... load from sitting there at WOT. :D

Jeff its been forever since you've run at the track, Im curious what you're gonna run now with your car as is w/ weight reduction. You'd better strike before the Death Pool gets settled...

... granted I only had one run with problems, so we do not know what the weight reduction did for me.
