How many problems can you have in one run?

Well, the best I can surmise it the following:
*my plugs were shot (relatively new, so I did not swap them in before the race). The plugs had less than 400 miles on them, but they were instaleld before the raace day that I hit my 11 in November.
*My ECU may not have had enough time to relearn the larger injectors after having the new battery installed. This is one of those things that sucks about having the VPC (variable perfromance computer), 550s and the OEM computer.
*My oil dipstick tube was not bolted down, rattled loose beyond 1/2 track and blew oil onto the firewall making for a smokey finish.
*sigh* welcome to the 2004 race season.
I went home and swapped in new plugs, bolted down the dipstick, dumped in a quart of oil and went back to the track, but they had already closed the staging lanes.
So I only got one run in ... 12.727 @ 113.35.
The low ET/mph I am sure was the result of the plugs and ECU.
The smoke at the end of the track was from the oil.
I could tell around the 1000 foot mark that I was smoking, but I stayed "in it" out of annoyance .... grrrrrr.

ac427cpe, realistically my last run down the 1/4 mile was 11.8 ... 12.7 is nearly a full second slower.
I usually do 12.70s when I miss the 2nd gear shift.
For me to hit every shift, that was a slow time for Hyde. Such is life, I will be back. ;)
