The Electric radiator fan will not shut off. I unpluged it at the radiator. can anyone tell me where the relay is, or the switch that operates the fan is. I shut off the Jeep and the electric fan keeps running, even when the engine temp is low. Any ideas? Any help?
Thanks
Thanks

I have no clue, I do know that the fan could continue to run for an hour after shutting the engine off due to high temp heat. but u said it doesn't get that hot, I have no clue what could cause this.

From kvr= /The coolant fan is operated by the pcm, but there is a relay located underneath the passenger side head light, which you can see, just look down and to the right of the fuse conpartment to the front of the fender, its a pain to get at, its a four prong plug with two mounting screws, the relay is about 50 to 60 dollars from your jeep dealer, its not listed at any auto parts yet, at least none that i know dealer item i guess. this is if your jeep is a 4.0.
Thanks

It's the fan control relay and it's located under the passenger side headlight. In order to get to it you have to take off the front bumper and facia OR do what I did and take your dremmel and cut a hole in the plastic under the headlight big enough to remove it. It's not easy to find but trust me it's there and it's definately your problem. I just covered the hole back up with a scrap piece of plastic and some duct tape. Works like a charm!
