ok im having this problem that started 2 days ago. whenever I switch gears, it keeps revving for about 3 or 4 seconds AND THEN the motor actually switches gears. im thinking this is my clutch because it smells really weird every time this happens. thanks for the help.

Also, if you were ever planning on changing to a performance lightened flywheel, now would be the time. Then you don't have to pay for the same labor twice, and it's a really good mod for any car. :bigthumb:

thanks for the input but for right now im only getting the stock clutch replaced. i cant do any big engine/drivetrain mods for another 6 months or so while i get good with my new job. and my mechanic does most of my work for next to nothing because ive known him for so long. thanks anyways though i definitely am going to get a lightened flywheel soon.

Right on. If you can watch him do the job, it's not hard, just labor intensive. If you watch somebody do it, and have a Chilton's for your car you could do it again yourself, if you're into that.

just a note...instead of trying to explain symtoms over the internet (which is hard to do)...why not just take it in to get checked out? couldn't do any harm...
