From reading around here and other places I have diagnoses that I need to replace the t-belt and t-belt tensioner. I have that same tick that most Rodeos appear to have. Would I be able to adjus that instead of buying a new one? Can I buy a used one and it be okay? Does anybody have or can find a picture of the timing belt tensioner for me to see?

Don't confuse the tensioner noise with valve lifter noise. The tensioner noise is usually very loud and intermittant.

I had a pic of my t-belt tensioner, but I didn't save it.

Buying a used tensioner is not recomended. You don't know how many miles it has on it and could fail anytime. Mine cost about 75 bones.
