Linux help!!!

Ok this is for you linux maniacs. i really need your help on this one.

I've tried Mandrake 10.0 and it sucked. I managed to configure all the hardware perfectly and it still fails to initialise certain drivers even though 9.2 worked perfectly before.

So no I got irritated and switched to redhat 9 which i never used before.

So the problem is: I've updated gaim using their cvs so its about up to date as it gets.

i tried using the rpm but it gives me some error about missing some libraries or something.

well it worked fine with cvs but now when i try to conect to msn it sais that msn requires ssl encription and that i need to add that to gaim

I though that it can get those sll libraries from mozilla so i updated to 1.6 and still nothing

this is what i got from gaim:
Gaim needs to be compiled with SSL support to work with MSN, and for SSL connections on Jabber (where the server supports it). You will need either GnuTLS (and all its dependencies) or Mozilla NSS & NSPR.

Mozilla 1.5 will not provide all the pieces for NSPR & NSS due to breakage in Mozilla that misses out some .h files (or something...). You might be able to install mozilla-{nss,nspr}{,-devel} from 1.4, or install nss from source, in parallel and link against those for Gaim. Or just use GnuTLS.

OpenSSL is not an option for SSL support in Gaim because the OpenSSL license (BSD-style) is not compatible with the Gaim license (GPL)

So if anyone has any ideeas you help would be greatly apreciated.
