ECU performance reprogrammer

Has anyone successfully reprogrammed their 3100 SFI in a 97-2003 Malibu? If so, where was the chip purchased from ? What type of gains were advertised and what were the actual gains? How was the overall experience?

I have been looking all over the place and I have not been able to find anything from Hypertech or Superchips. Supposedly there is a JetChips module, but I have not seen any information on it. I want a performance reprogrammer, not just a "chip" that is a reprogrammed. I would like the option to go back to stock whenever I like, and not have my ECU mailed to someone that I don't know to be flashed and returned. Has anyone else been looking for this ?

Check summitracing.com I know they have the Jet performance chip. It cost about $200 but you dont have to send your chip in, they send you a new one. There is anywhere from 20-40 hp gains and i would guess 15-35lbs of torque.

check truckperformance.com they got a chip by venom that boost HP and torque by 25%, and it can be turned on and off...simple plug and play installation.

Thanks for the replies! I didn't see a Venom chip listed for my 3100 V6 on truckperformance, however they do list a jet performance chip. Jetchip's website doesn't have them listed as making a module for my car however. I am going to get in contact with them in the near future to see what the deal is, and see if I can get a part number for what fits my car.

Has anyone installed this chip or any other chip on the 3100 V6 with the revised intake manifolds ? (as in, the 170HP/190lb-ft version) ??
