my alarm troubles

ok here's my problem. i have my LED for my alarm and its red, but doesn't light up ever.

also, my headlights don't flash when arming and disarming. i have projectors. could that be the case? or is it the alarm itself.

for the led check your connections and see if everything is all hooked up and for the arming and disarming lights, more than likely it's your alarm

Is it in valet mode?

nope.. my remote functions as follows (its a viper alarm)

press button I to arm the alarm
press button I again to disarm
hold button I to sound the siren
press button II then button I to lock the car. the alarm doesn't arm
after arming... press II then I to disarm silently.
