gear install kits

hey guys,
I was planning to get some 3.73's for my ride. My question is whether any one knows if i have to get an install kit as well even if i am getting my mechanic to do the job.

you shouldn't. you just have to get the right ring and pinion set for your carrier. you might need different pinion washer shims to get the pinion depth right, and thrust washers to get the ring to pinion clearance right. but your mechanic probly has those, if not you can get em from the parts store
