Hey well I'm mighty pissed off. My friend a few months ago opened his car door and hit mine. It's a small dent with a scratch in it under my drivers side mirror. U can see it clear as day after its washed.

Is their any cheap method to remove or pop the dent out? Maybe not the scracth but the dent aynway.

Also On my passy side the same moron friend stepped on the frame of my car and slipped, scuffing it. Its like when u get in ur car and hit the side cept its not dim and can clearly be seen. 7-10 white marks, like slashes on it. Anyway to get those out?

Thanks guys.

I'd suggest going to see a PDR guy and then get out of his way.
If ya really wanna do it yourself-take the panel off the door and see if ya can get to the back of it.
Cavy's are made with pretty thin sheetmetal so maybe ya can get ya thumbs in there and kinda massage the dent out-then just touch up the paint and rub it out once it's all set up.
Whatever ya do don't hit it with anything more than a teaspoon. Ya can make the damage worse doing that.
The scuffs? Find ya a white polishing compound if it's just stuff that's ON the paint. Put some on a rag and rub like hell until it comes off (the scratchy sound goes away).
Ya might have to do this a couple times until ya get it all off and it won't hurt the paint.
Take care not to rub too hard on a crease or edge of a panel as paint is usually thinner there as it tends to run away from edges when it is applied.

if the scratch is white the paint got scratched down to the primer and the only thing you can do is a touch up

I think its a scracth. How close can touch up paiunt actually come?

ok this my sound insanly dumb but what is a pdr guy? like a professional auto body guy? grr i feel stupid

if you use touch up paint I probably wont look good unless you have done a touch up before. I would sugest finding a body shop

Ya thats what I meant, can a guy at a body sshop touch it up 100% or would u be able to tell. I'm not to worried about the side anymore becasue I will hopefully be getting a body kit which would solve that problem but the dent/scratch is still a concern.

a good body shop would definetly be able to get rid of a dent or scratch and make it look good. It might be costly. Just call a few body shops and check their prices

I wonder how costly, just been to busy to call lately. Are we talking over a hundred just to do some touch up here?

It really just depends on where the dent or scratch is. The paint on my front bumper is chipping and to have it redone it would be around 300. Im sure if it was a quarter panel or fender it might be around 150. It all depends on the body shop

i think what ur talking about is called a "ding king". it's one of those crazy gadgets they sell on tv. basically two suction cups with a crank on it. they may be a little hard to find nowadays i think but u still might be able to find em somewhere :2cents:

WHy dont you just bring it to a body shop, i paint cars, those dent pullers are only so good and the dent will still be visible. If you want to get rid of the dent the body shop will fix the dent with body filler, and re-paint it. Also i would go to a larger body shop(NOT MAACO!), not a local shop because the local shop might fix it half-assed.

Ok thanks, I'll try to get it done when I can for an estimate first, then swave up and get it repaired.

PDR=Paintless Dent Repair.
If it's a scratch-ya can fill it with touch up and rub it out once it's set up.
If it's a dent-ya need the metal massaged-if it's a shallow dent or crease that's not too severe-find a PDR guy and get out of his way.
His methods will prolly freak you out. But a good PDR guy will make it disappear without screwing up the finish.
If ya got a crease or dent with a serious amount of paint removed/transferred-take it to ya body shop.
I've had good luck with MAACO. Cheap enuf and they do good work, at least 'round these parts.

Well its a small dent. the paint is scracthed but not to bad, u cant see the scratch from far away when its clean but can clearly see the dent (sun hits it in a diff way then rest of car it seems lol)

its no larger then a dime really and the scracth is in the dent.
