..life on other planets?
Not just planets in our solar system or galaxy or whatever, but other ones too. Do you ever think, that millions of lightyears away, there is another planet just like ours, with another civilization just as, if not more, advanced as ours? Do you ever think that these people have cars too? And do they go over to each others houses on weekends to play pool or Halo, or go out to the movies or a concert or something? And maybe they have a space program designed to finding life on other planets. Or maybe, just maybe, they already FOUND life on another planet? Maybe they're so advanced that they already know all about us....
I think it could be possible.

well im guessing there is since one star can actually be billions of stars close together, and if there are billions of stars just in that small area and if there were solar systems arround each one then im guessing there has to be a least one planet that is in the right location and distance to have life on it... though i doubt there is life in our solar system, other than the earth, i have no doubt about the other galaxies... and then u have to think of the billions of galaxies we know about which contain yet again billions of other stars... so im guessing its more than likely there is some kind of life like our own, which is like earth...

Yeah, I feel the same way. What about the ever popular question.....
Do you think there are more grains of sand in the world than stars in the sky?
I think there are more stars.

I think that the posibility that we are the only life in the entire universe is more frightening than any space invader movie can be. The posibilities are just too many. That being said, I vote stars

I can't answer that question...It's something to sleep on.

Well if it isn't life, what else could it be?

I think it'd be funny if there was life on another planet and everything was so incredibly different than ours, except for theres one book exactly similar to a book written on Earth.

You mean like the cat in the hat? If the two worlds ever met, they might try to control us and make us their slaves or something. But then once they see that we have the cat in the hat too, they will set us free and we will all be friends. Right?

I was thinking more along the lines of Rum Diary.

I'd just like to pose that "life" itself is a subjective term. There may be something else out there entirely, that may not be what we expect. do we expect Carbon-based biological lifeforms. Or are there radically different lifeforms out there, perhaps energy-based ones, etc, etc... just food for thought.

Play pool or halo, who knows.I've read that the egyptians wrote hygrogliphics on cave walls about aliens. They preformed brain surgery without infections.Sounds weird, but it's true. So,something is true. But,who really knows what??

well, considering that the Universe is too vast for human brains to comprehend i would say that most likely their is "life", which as said so well by Joseph is a subjective term
i just laugh when i hear people suggest they're like us, but i could very possibly be wrong, just i think they wouldn't be anything like we are, they were just too many things that just happened to have the right conditions (against very big odds) for the Earth to have life
as for UFO stories, i'm not really sure, on one hand i'd like to think that the government would tell us about them (wishful thinking probably), but on the otherhand they could be telling us the truth, i tend towards the latter, i don't think we have or will in my life time make contact with ETs

When we discuss UFOs, well... we are putting human values on ETs. Who is to say that they travel in vessels as we do? This is a very ethnocentric assumption. It is more likely that they are so radically different than us that both of our cultures are so alien to each other... contact wouldn't be so easy as them coming here in a space vessel, disembarking and making first contact, these are all racists assumptions by the human race. Most likely the are so different from us that contact probably could never happen... it is the human ego that dirives the rest of this junk.
