Hey, maybe you guys could help me... appartently everything voids my warantee, the chic at the dealership said I can't even put on the Borla I've been saving and wanting. This is BS, is this true, what things CAN i get away with w/o voiding the warantee??

If you take your car to a ASE certified tech then I believe you can get that borla you want. I think she assumed that you where going to do it yourself. You can get one of them reprogramers for sure, that won't void anything cuz it's not really atatched to the car.

How bout full exhaust? I guess that shouldn't void it either, and where do I have to go? An ASE tech?

actually, as soon as you alter anything that effects emissions you void the warantee. so no headers, no cat, its actually illegal to replace the cat with an aftermarket one before 50,000 miles. basicly anything done that isnt done at the dealership voids the warantee. a catback system would not void the warantee on say the engine, but they certainly wouldnt warantee the new exhaust. they might not even put it on for you. if you do anything to open the engine up, to modify it in any way, you will void the warantee. the chip controls the engine, so if your engine blows, or starts burning oil for instance, (which is a known problem for the LS1 engines) they can charge you for it outside of warantee because you have modified your drivetrain controls. so basicly, if you want warantee on drivetrain, leave it alone.

Hey, 89, I'm glad I found someone who works at a dealership who isn't trying to hustle me!!! Borla has its own warantee. So I can put it on, lose the warantee on my stock exhaust, but not on my drivetrain, right? But anything else I can't do then? This is no fun
