Junkyard cluster questions

I might be goin to my nearby salvage yard to pick up a 90 crx guage cluster today. I know, since my car is a 90, that it will plug right up. But will an automatic gauge cluster work on my manual base civic? If it does, I can just order some clear guages to cover the top guage part. And also, would it still work if it's been sitting there for maybe 5 months? I've heard storys of the needles sticking and not moving.

Any suggestions would help since I'm goin to go here in about an hour.

should work just fine. if anything happens with the needles then its the clusters bad and not being auto with a manual.

Okay, I just came back from the nearest Junkyard and you wouldn't believe how much they charged me for the 90 auto crx cluster. I got the cluster and two rear trunk panels for $24. I was planning on spending a near $40 dollars, but that's almost half the difference. Boo-yah.

Lucky bastard, I wanted the headlight pigtails a while back, and my junkyard wanted to charge me 15 each. Thats so messed up, needless to say, I went back there and ...forgot to pay them on the way out.

I just now tryed it out in my car and everything works fine. I love this thing. But there is a small price to pay when you find something good. The cluster has 221k on it. I can't really drive around like this so I was wondering if it was possible to take the speedometer out of my base cluster and but it in my new cluster? How would you go about doing this? It'd be really nice if you guys could help me out.
