I hear that they are dimmer than stock. Is this true? Also that some use h1/h3 bulbs instead of 9005/9006 bulbs (90 accord). Are h1/h3 bulbs dimmer than 9005/9006 bulbs or something or is it the design of the headlight?

Yes they're dimmer than stock. H1 bulbs put out hardly any light compared to Honda's H4's in Civics, and compared to your Accord's 9006's. If you can find some HID's on Ebay spend the extra few bucks for those. If I were you I'd just buy some of those new Sylvania Superstar or hyperwhite piaa bulbs and use the stock headlight housings.

Hmm... projectors, IMO, looks really nice. Anybody heard of projectors that dont us H1/H3 bulbs and use regular 900x bulbs or anything that provides good lighting without the cost of HIDs?
shee.... i was thinking projectors would be a lot brighter than stock since well.... it is called projectors. To me it looks like a magnified lens that would increase light out or something. such a misleading name. Well any positives about projectors other than their solid look?

LOL. They're called Sylvania Silverstars. And yes. Projectors are wack as hell. Look for something else. Imagine driving at night without your lights on. Thats what its like driving with Projectors.

Headlight bulbs here, not shoes. :loser:
j/k man.
But in all seriousness, I couldn't agree more, Ricochet. I'm running genuine Stanley CTR housings with PIAA Super Plasma GT-X bulbs, and it's about the brightest thing that anyone in front of me at night has seen, next to true HIDs of course. They will light up a canyon like no one's business, and they DON'T seem like you're just driving with your parking lights are on like aftermarket projectors can do. When it comes to HID or projectors, rule of thumb ALWAYS is, if it didn't come with them on the car from the factory, then you're wasting you're money trying to convert to it.
