GXE wheels vs Saw blade wheels

I own a 97 GXE Maxima, and I am currently riding on some stock GXE wheels. You know the ones that people think are ugly. Anyway, does anyone know if the GXE stock wheels are heavier than the saw blades? I am thinking about getting some saw blades, but if the GXE wheels are lighter than I see no real point in buying them (I just want performance for the most part, although I do think those saw blades would make my car a little nicer). I was just wondering if maybe I should try to get some saw blade wheels or not?

Thank you.

Well, saw blades are actual rims. The GXE wheels are just hubs(and steel ones at that). So I'm thinking the saw blades might be lighter. They are aluminum alloy.

Its true they are lighter, the stock GXE rims are made of steel, but why would you get the saw blades get some 18's or something. The saw blades are expensive, i would guess around ~250, you can get some really nice 18's instead for around the same price. And they are heavy too compared to the aftermarket ones. Thats my opinion.

You can't get 4 for 250, i'am talikn 1 for 250, the price for 1 saw blade which are 15", is ~180-300 depending on where u buy. Go to http://www.rims-and-wheels.com/nissan-maxima-1997-parts.html to see the OEM rims and their prices. Go to tirerack.com to see the aftermarket ones.
