I left my 95 eagle talon fwd turbo sit for an hour and it was running just fine before i parked it. Anyway when i came back to start it up it would firer up. I got a jump and it started right up. i drove home which took an hour and when i stopped at a stop sign it almost died out but i threw it in to neutral and kept the engine reving. So i got home and shut it off and i tried to start it again and it wouldn't even attempt to start. I didn't leave anything on like lights or stuff like that to kill the battery and when i tried to jump it again it wouldn't even crank. So i check all the fuses and everything and they were fine. The only thing i can figure is the alarm went off while i had it parked and drained my battery. Well i went and got a brand new battery and installed it. I have two wires for the alarm that hook up to the positive terminal along with a wire for my stereo. When i hook it all up it threw sparks everywhere. The parking lights came on and stayed on but i didn't even have them turned on and when i went to start it up every light on the instrument panel came on and my tempurature gauge went ceal past hot and my fans came on. The starter didn't crank and i figured the alarm was armed so i held in the button under my dash to disarm the alarm and let me star the car and it was the same thing. So i check all my fuses even the ones under the hood and i found that my 100a alternator fuse was blown and my stereo fuse as well. I went and got another one and put it in and i hooked the battery back up and it blew the fuse again. So i unhooked the battery and i took the alarm cables off the positive terminal and i tried to hook it back up with out the alarm wires. Nothing at all no power to anything. I touched the two split pieces of the alternator fuse together and no sparks. So i hooked the alarm wires back up and hooked the battery wires back up and every time i hook the battery up with those wires on the part that connects to the terminal it throws off sparks. Anyway i hooked it all back up and i touch the broken pieces of the 100a fuse together and it threw off sparks again. I don't know much about cars but i think that there is a short in my alarm system but it could be in my alternator or i could be way off all together. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if any body knows whats wrong. Please help!!

i had the same problem only it was my ignition fuse that kept blowing i soon found out it was my fuel sending unit. my fuel pump was fine all the power going to the fuel pump stoped at the fuel sending unit it was like a positive and a negitive were touching each other and kept blowin up oh yeah mine is a 91 AWD turbo just in case you are wondering. well good luck i hope you find out the problem
