yesterday after work i got in my car and started driving home, when i noticed a yellow exclimation point was on in my left cirle gauge, (above the green light symbol) ive seen a symbol similar to this, but it was on my dads audi and that was for esp. knowing that this car did not have esp i took out my manual, and it says that this was a low tire pressure alert. when i got home i took out one of those little tire pressure gauges. and gauged all my tires. all of them read between 28-32. that sounds pretty normal to me, and i checked again this morning, and they all read the same. the alert remains tho, and im starting to get used to it, which isnt safe to get used to seeing an alert when something really bad happeneds. i got the car 4 weeks ago tomorrow, this isnt normal

has this happened to anyone else?

that is your tire pressure warning light. They are installed on the tires. I had the same thing happen to me. I'm not exactly sure what the right pressure should be, but I filled mine up to low 40's. The tires are rated to 51 psi, but you still want to keep the pressure well under.

cold temps can also throw it off

Yes, mine does that to adn seems to be when the tires are cold. When I get it out on the Autobahn, the light goes out.

I believe the Light also comes on if the pressure is too high.

You need to lower your tire pressures.
Your tires shoudl be between 32-35 psi. No more than that.
Just because the tire is rated to 51psi does not indicate that the tire shodul be inflated near that. It is more dependant on the vehicle weight distribution. But inflating your tires to 40ish psi you are decreasing the contact patch that your tire makes on the road and therefor decreasing the grip your tires have ont he road.

Just a friendly reminder :P

you need to have your tire pressure arount 32-35psi. the light will come on around 28psi. temp cause different reading(expanding+contracting of the air). if you keep driving with the tire light on it will affect your traction control and you have 1-2 more light come on DCS light. you might have a damage tire pressure sensor if you just had your tire changed. the sensor run around $300

my fiance drives an 04rx8 and his tire pressure light came on b/c he has 16s on the back instead of 18s which come with the car. he changed them for drifting, but who knows maybe whoever you bought it from put 16s on it, but i think you would be able to tell. but ever since he put those on the back, the light has not gone off
