Good news, bad news.

Sorry if this is a repost but here goes:

A man and his wife were involved in a car accident. The husband made it out without any major harm, however his wife needed to be rushed to the hospital immediately. While he was sitting out in the waiting room the doctor comes out to speak to him.
"Well sir, I have some good news and I have some bad news, which would you like to hear first?"

The man, a worried look on his face said, "Bad news first..."

The doctor become very concerned and said "Well, your wife is missing both arms and both legs, and will need help eating and going to the bathroom for the rest of her life."

The husband gulped, "... and the good news?"

The doctor then grew a huge grin, "I'm kidding! She's dead!"

i was expecting the doctor to say he just saved a lot of money by switching to geico

I think the geico ending would be interesting actually, I heard this joke quite some time ago and laughed my ass off, this time I just found it depressing, I guess it all depends on your mood, you definitely don't tell that to somebody who's having a bad day.
