Thinner for Alclad...

I had some that was drying up in the bottle, just wondering if anyone had success rethining this stuff? what thinner did you use?

The guy at my store said that Alclad is alcohol based you could try that but it says on the bottle that thinning is not recommended

Lacquer thinners should work, I doubt alcohol would be a good idea

lacquer and alcohol based are 2 different things, Alclad is a lacquer.

I'm with the Scrutinzer on this one....

Alclad makes an airbrush cleaner...that might work in small amounts. As far as it being a laquer...sure smells like it...just like nailpolish.

I have a few friends who have used Alclad for years and they have always used Acetone to thin it with very good results.
