94 Heater Core

How hard is this to change on the 94 Ranger. Do I have to pull the Dashboard. Also, any idea on where to get one? Are they expensive. thanks for the help

Replaced the heater core in my 94 ranger 4.0 v-6, wasn't as hard as I expected. Just had to remove a cover panel under the dash to get to the heater core. The hoses were impossible to get off ends of the heater core that came through the firewall, so I just cut them and replaced the whole section of hose - much much easier and wasn't too expensive. Can't remember exactly what the core cost, but it was somewhere in the $30.00 range. Hope that helps.
