too rich

ever since i put a set of headers on my 3.4 over christmas i have been getting shitty gas mileage. im not talking about dropping from 20mpg to 17, we're talking using a quarter of a tank to go on a 10mi round trip through traffic. i also have a jet chip Power control module that changes all my fuel ratios and spark timing and such. i was wondering if maybe the PCM combined with the headers somehow are contributing to the abundant amount of vehicular necture that my car consumes, but im not sure. are there any possible problems that could be causing this that are not horribly easy to notice their exsistence?

is your egr hooked up right?? And, what kind of headers did you get?

i imagine that the EGR is hooked up right, i did kindof put it all back together a little rushed, but is it possible to hook it up wrong. the harnesses only go in one way right, those are the only things i can think of that would be wrong? what if i had a leaking gasket somewhere involved with the EGR, would that have the same effect?

and i got pacesetter headers, 2 1/2" i believe; dont really remember...

ah ha, I've heard a lot of people having problem with pacesetter headers. I personaly wouldn't get them. I love there cat back system, but not the headers. That might be your whole problem. But check and make sure that the EGR bosses in the headers themselves aren't cloged. Other than that I would recamend getting another set of headers for sure dude.

yeah the pacesetters are less than par, unfortunately they are the only headers i have found that are street legal for the 3.4. i honestly probably would not have gotten them i knew what i was gettin myself into. thanks for the advice though ill look into what ive got...

rksport has a set which are really nice and look good, but they are street legal. no egr hookup...
