So today I became the proud new owner of a 1996 Accord EX (4cyl). I've used these forums for awhile but didn't register an account until today. Anyway, I'm looking to learn a lot about them and hopefully tune up the car some. I've checked out some parts and the prices for them....and coming from a Mustang owner the performance parts for these Hondas are definitely a lot cheaper than Mustang stuff!
But anyway, the car came with only 100k miles (not bad for a 96) and the car is in great shape, inside and out. It came with an upgraded audio system....it has the stock deck but somebody put an aftermarket sub and cd changer in it. Someone also definitely did some aftermarket exhaust work with it, but to the extent I'm not sure.
The dealer said this Accord had much quicker pickup and a notable deeper sound in the engine itself when its accelerating, but he didn't know what had been done with it. Personally I'm guessing some sort of intake.
How would I go about identifying the addons..?

it probaly has a K&N drop in filter or something. as for intake go wit AEM or a e bay intake with a K&N filter. for exhaust greddy sp and apexi ws is a popular choice because of its quietestness. greddy evo and apexi n1, dc sports, and rsr ex mag are pretty quiet as well.
and my friend has a mustang and his parts are always cheaper than mine. i think parts for imports are over priced compared to some domestic performance parts prices.
