Need Help Aspap! Please

:smokin: Ok so i got my JDM Integra Type R today, my problem now is that the wire harness is backwords compaired to the USDM integras. What can i do to fix this problem? For those who have ever dropped a Type R into a USDM car please tell me what other probs im going to run into and how much it will cost.

use your orginal wire harness.. take all the hardness out of the type are and replace it with GSR harness or usdm GSR hardness.. you can also use Delsol vtec wire hardness. again what year is your car? there are differences in OBD1 and OBD2 wiring harness..

i have a 94 integra LS

so i can use my original or i can get a GSR harness? what about the sensers that are attached?

use your orginal and then wire the vtec to the computer... make sure you have a GSR , Type R, or P28 chiped ECU.. LS ecu will not perform well and vtec will not work and rev limit is low.. If i were you i'll use a GSR or Type R ecu.. then run the vtec wire to the ecu..

My bad... Type R ECU will not fit in your LS the plug is different unless you are connverting it to OBD2..which cost more to buy the conversion wire.. Most people do from OBD2 to OBD1 but in your case it's already OBD1 so use GSR or P28 Chiped..

You might also have to use your orginal alternator.. because the Type R alternator plug might not fit with your LS plug.. so check that too before you put the engine in the car..

i have the Type R ECU already. where can i find a OBD1 to OBD2 conversion. I also need to know for sure i can take a GSR wireharness and put it on a the R without any problems

and what is the difference a OBD2a and OBD2b? which is the Type R?

use the GSR hardness.. for the motor.. then run the vtec wire from the firewall to the computer unless the vtec wire is already exist then you don't have a problem if not then you have to run it from the firewall near the battery to the computer.. as far as the OBD1 to OBD2 conversion.. check on ebay. If you inquire about the conversion make sure to mention it's from OBD1 to OBD2 , not vise versa....

I don't know anything about OBD2a or OBD2b..
What year is your engine? Most Type R are OBD2 which is 96 and up.. any 95 and under is OBD1 same goes with all integras..and CIVIC

ok just to confirm i can get all the Wire setup off a GSR and i can also use the wireharness from a GSR and it will connect right up with the Type R engine and ECU without problems. Right? also isn't a GSR a Vtech anyway? would i have to worry about rigging the Vtech wires on the R?

Your LS do not have VTEC... if you already have the Type R ecu why don't you try to plug it in to your LS to see if it fit... I guarantee it will not fit...
you cannot tear down your harness from inside your car.. it wired to all over the places..
Replace the wire on the Type R engine with GSR.. then it should hook in perfectly on the connector near the battery into the firewall and into your car. I'm not sure if the LS have vtec wire already there or not.. most then like it it's not...if not you have to run it from the connector to the ECU.
