The Citroen C4 has landed. It will come in a elegant 5dr and a sporty 3dr coupe and will make use of the PSA's newest engines. It will offer a wide range of diesel and petrol engines which will be all Euro IV emissions compliant. The C4 will also feature many innovations namely its steering wheel set-up which features a fixed centre which with multi-funtional controls which can alter in-car entertainment, handling, safety and other features. The C4s interior is also a big step in quality over the Xsara offering class leading materials and a classy feel. The new C4 looks great and offers some Citroen(and French) originality, something the Xsara was totally devoid of.

Glad I didn't wait for it and that I bought a 307 instead.

Unless your blind, you will see this looks a hell of a lot better than the stodgy looking 307. :shakehead

I take back what I say about the new C4 Coupe being original. It has as a very close resemblance to the short-lived Mazda 323 coupe of 1994.

We get our first look at the C4 in the next week in Australia (brisbane at least) from the pics i am a big fan, and i think a 2.OL petrol 5 door could be on the cards. Anybody tested one - what do they feel like on the road - the same as most citroens, bit to comfortable??
The comparison with the mazda (which came out as a ford lynx in australia) is valid, but i would be hesitant to say they took actual design cues from it. If so then it may be argued that the MB c200 sports coupe and to that extent the toyota corrola (model before this one) may have provided some inspiration. But again i think not - it is just the bohemian design chic that has forever both plagued and set apart citroen "shinning" through again.
