Help Suspension\Tire problems

My 1996 Civic has been having problems...

When i reach about 65 mph the car will start to rumble... I had the wheels balanced to see if it would fix the problem but no luck...

Periodically the rumble will go away if I hit a bump in the road or a transition from asphalt to concrete...

History:
* 112,000 miles

* Yes 4 wheel balance was done

* The tire where the rumbling appears to be coming from was patched

Could this be suspension?

Could there be a piece of loose patch in the tire?

Bent rim?

I had a similar prolem on my old Cavalier. someone had put the liquid tire sealer inside the tire, and when the car sat for a while it semicured. We ended up demounting the tire, and cleaning it all out, and then correctly patching the tire.

That could be any number of things. If it is on the same corner where the patched tire is, I'd have the tire pulled off the wheel and inspected. You may have a failure in the patched area of the tire. If it were a bent wheel the vibration would be fairly constant and would not come and go. If the interior of the tire starts to break down, it may be causing the rumble as the tire gets to that speed and the layers of the tire are under a specific amount of stress. I'd get that pulled and inspected (off the rim) for damage!
