I need a new cell phone. What are some good names? What should I look for/avoid? Thanks.

I think the motorola t730 is pretty sweet (do NOT opt for the t720.. one of the worst cell phones ever produced)

I've got the t730, its really nice. I'm the only one in my school with one. They all have the base phone.

I prefer Nokia. I have a 6100 at the moment and it's an absolute gem.

Right now I have a Samsung VI660. It's a flip-phone, doesn't weigh a ton, comes with internet, polyphonic ringtones, real easy to figure out, and the battery lasts a relatively long time. :bigthumb:

It also depends on your service provider. While the T730 is better than the 720, its still a shitty phone in my opinion. A few of my friends have it and the battery life sux. The LCD quality isn't good either. I just bought the Audiovox 8900 and couldn't be happier. My battery lasted an entire week without a charge this past week. I've never ever had a phone that's done that. It all depends on what your like/dont like too. Check out www.howardforums.com and browse around there.

Good choice. Nokias are good, I had a 3360 for over a year before I got my new phone in January. Nokias tend to be a bit bulky and heavier than most phones, tho.

my friend has this nokia and he thought he lost it in the parking lot of school like halfway throught the year but it just fell out of his pocket in the parking lot, he figured it got ran over but last week he found it across the parking lot aparantly where they plow the snow to, and amazingly it still works, after a month and a half of being in snow then being in two rain storms, it still works, i dont know the model numer i think its the 3100 or the 3200 if those even exist

i had a nokia and it died within 5 months from when i got it. i now have a panasonic that ive had for about 7 months. its the lights phone ive felt for its size, the battery lasts a decent enough long time. if i dont talk too much, i can go about 4 days between recharges, but people keep calling me so im on it for like 2-3 hours over a day and a half and it doesnt seem to like that too much, so its usually about 2 days. iwish people would stop calling me so much.... it doesnt have internet or games, but for me thats a good thing so i dont get distracted in class or in a meeting at work. havent had any reliablitty problems with it. plus the service is AT&T.
