Ok, i was goin to do a B18a1 swap, but i kind of need to hurry up and get my car back on the road, so money wont permit me to do the b series swap, So i have decided to go ZC, First off, i need to no whether or not there is a big power difference between the SOHC and the DOHC ZC. aslo i was wondering would i have to do my wiring for mpfi on the ZC the same way i would if i were doin it for an si. Also i was wondering if it takes the same axles as my stock ones, and if my si tranny that i already have will work on it. PLease get back with some info ASAP, I appreciate all help. and incase you dont know i have a 1990 Hatch STD.( with a blown engine now)

I think the ZC is rated at 129Hp 106Trq. Yes, it will bolt up to your stock mounts and tranny. But I would recomend on getting new poly. mounts since your old ones are more than likely worn out. The wiring is the same as going from DPFI to MPFI except the crank angle sensor is at the end of the cam and you'll need to run 2 wires to that. Heres a nice DPFI to MPFI How to http://www.fourthgenhatch.com/mpfi.html

you can get the longblock/zc tranny for 850 shipped from Hmotorsonline.com i have it in my car get the DOHC it's easy to put in it took me 3 days to get it in and running. if you have the std you're going to need the steering knuckle/hub from a dx or si because the std. won't work.

someone posted somewhere about sohc zc delivered for under 500. ive drivin the dohc as well as the sohc zc and the dohc has way better off the line punch imo but the sohc pulls way to redline stronger. for the price id settle for a sohc zc :D

i agree with Siz, don't get the SOHC ZC, go for the DOHC. You want an engine that can breath better and the Dohc breathes a lot better than the sohc, plus its looks better and quicker(stock)

Man get the DOHC. But just get a long block. Use your Si tranny, its geared better.

I thought the std and dx knuckle/hubs were the same, and the si were different, but anyway which axles do i use, which ecu would be the best to use and which distributer do i get for it. The main thing i am worried about is not getting the engine in, cause i have done a swap before in my boys crx si, the main thing i have a problem with is the wiring, If someone can give me some in debth tips on the wiring that the mpfi how to may not tell me i would greatly appreciate it.

Youll need axles and hubs from an Si (unless you keep your std tranny :nono:) Because those are bigger and the std ones wont fit into a dx or si tranny. As for the wiring, here are a couple links to help you out.

the std hubs/ knuckles are 23 or 26 and the dx/si are which ever the std isn't i think the dx/si are 26 spline. they're larger too. if you're keeping the SI motor just use dx/si axels if you're using the ZC tranny (Make sure to get the intermediate shaft) use two (2) 91-93 integra right axels. I used the website www.fourthgenhatch.com for my wiring look under the howto section. it takes like 2 hours to wire the entire things. don't get scared by it.

Actually the 90-91 spline count on the knuckles are the same for the dx si and std, because it was this time last year I put a si tranny from a 91 si crx in my car and did not have to change knuckles/hubs, it fit perfectly.
But thanks for the info especially about the wiring cause that has been the thing that has SCARED me about the swap.
Any other comment or tips are greatly appreciated
