I didnt use the search function cuz i wasnt sure on what to look for. . .sooo sorry if this has been posted/asked before. . .

But yea, i need some advice. Im pretty skinny compared ot other kids at my school. . .My height is ok but im more concerned with my size. . .I wanna get bigger. Ive been eating alot but its not really doing much. . .I gained about 15lbs since the beginning of my school year. . .summers almost here and i wanna change a little bit so, i was planning on doing some running over the vacation. so my question is will this make me lose even more weight or will it actually build me up. . .

Im also trying to get myself ready for next years sports. so over the summer i just plan on getting a little bigger. any suggestions? (i dunno shit about these things)

thx in advance. . .

Dude, you need to Pump some iron. The only effective way to increase your size if by lifting weights. Find a local gym, talk to experienced peopel and they should set you up with a good program, become knowledgble too, nothing worse than hurting yourself when it could have been easily prevented.

Running is a cardiovascular activity and will only give you endurance/burn fat, no size.

If you're thin then the best way of weights for you is low reps & heavy weights.

That is the best way to build bulk. You're going to have to watch your diet too. An increase in protien is a must.

yes its a lot of work... but after the first month or so you will be able to see results if u do everything properly... for me, when i first started working out it was the most exciting because u improve every time u go... so i will probably be more fun than you think... it starts to get boring when you start working out for 3 months just to get your max 5 lbs heavier...

I'm working that same plan right now, I went form 183-201 lbs. in 7 months stayed msotly away form cardio, but with the sumemr aorudn the corner, I wouldn't mind cutting down a little, but my frame can easily take on another 15 lbs.

While Cardio isn't as evil as we make it out to be, it will only become effective in helping your endurance/muscle recovery after you've put the mass on.

and the ideal protein intake if your aiming for big gains is 1g/lb of body wieght. I find Tuna sandwiches and lots of eggs work well. Variety in everytihng is key as well, things can sometiems get boring quick be it food/training methods so keep switching it up.

Best of luck.

good points Porsche. eat just as you train-change it up. ummm 1 gram per pound of body weight isnt even close to what i was doing. i am just completely overactive, but i did just give up coffee.
i was taking in 250+ grams of protein daily during my weight gain stage. thats about 100 more grams than what i weigh. eggs are incredible, as stated in an earlier post, this is the only thing missing from my diet.

I try pretty hard to get all that protein in, but it's fucking hard sometimes. I usually put back a pair of tuna sandwiches over the day and some scrambled eggs in the morning. I have protein, but I don't take it as often as I should. I heard milk was a good source, so I usually put back a couple liters of that too. I'm still shrot tohugh, when you're 200 lbs. it's rough trying to get that much protein in.
