I'm looking to purchase a chip tuner. Which offers the best, fastest, safest tuning capabilities?

TIA

I like the diablo chip but I don't know much about the hypertec chip. I like how the diablo can be tuned 3 different ways from stock, street or strip. I think that might be the best for what you're looking for b/c it can be returned to stock

I think you should actually be checking with dyno tuners in your area to see what they work with an offer. I don't know chips real well but I'm sure they are compareable. It should really only matter what the dyno tuners work with and what they offer.

I heard the diablo works better on stangs than the hypertech.

Ok I have kinda always avoided writing this out but I have not contributed something good lately but here goes. I will give you a breakdown of chips and companies I'am familiar with from my expirence at work and having to deal with them.

Superchips: Pretty much the first big company in car aftermarket chips. Superchips use to big the name but they have not benn very innovative and slow to meet the demands of what people want and need in a chip. I'd just skip them.

Hypertech: Not as old as Superchips but has been around for a while. More Chevy guys seem to like their stuff. I personally have sold and hate all there stuff. The power programmer has been removed by more than one owner after install and causes many problems. I again would avoid this stuff like the plague.

Autologic: Small but very very good company. Autologic is probably a name you haven't heard of much, if at all. They tend to cater more to the needs of highly modded individual progams and dyno tuners. Autologic is now starting to get more into the mass market and I would say they are on par with Diablo.

Diablo: Diablo is a fairly new name but they are everywhere and they should be. Diablo for a mass market chip company is doing it right! There products are great the have been able to find the combination of pre-made mass market chips and the flexibility of custom programs.

This is just a quick overview of my dealings with each company. Now if you go with a dyno tuner use whatever one he uses cause at that point it's all on his skill not the chip company programmers. But for just ordering a standard 4.6 GT chip or 1 with a few custom things like speedo correction, no cat codes etc... Go with Diablo or Autlogic they will do you right.

Thanks Doods for the input. I think it'll be the Diablo.
