91 gs turbo???

Me and my dad just bought a 91 eclipse. i saw a turbo sign on the back but i checked under the hood. its a gs auto. it has a 4g63 in it but im not an expert on mitsubishis. is this thing supposed to have a turbo?? some1 please help me.

They came in turbo autos, is that the answer you are looking for?

i dont think gs's are turbo ,mine isn't,but mines a 98 so i dont know about the 91

The badge on the early 1gs had GS really large then "Turbo" tucked underneath.

We generally refer to these as GS-T models in any case.

thanks guys so i guess this thing is supposed to have a turbo. lol probly when the turbo died some jackass didnt feel like replacin it and took everything off. my dad bought this thing from a friend for 200 bucks. it has a tranny problem it wont go in gear but it will go in reverse. it has i think over 100,000 miles but i guess if i want to get this thing runnin im gonna have to get a turbo.....hehehe :biggrin:
