overpriced everywhere I go. . .

I can't remember the last time I saw A car on ebay, autotrader.com, autotrader locals, or just sitting on the street that wasn't horribly overpriced. Most people are trying to sell atleast a $1000 over on car like mid mile 96 Rangers, "wortt $3,000 according to blue book so lets sell it for $4,500!" How do you find a decent car/truck that isnt' overpriced, my Best friend is having the same problem, he wanted to buy another friends truck a 98 5-speed V6 F-150 with 115,000 miles on it but his the guy is asking $10,500! it only clocks in a $6,750! How do you do it? I need a cheap truck that not going to break, but everyone is asking to much.
