apparently not, so i have heard. I am thinking about buying a 2.8 V6 4 motion but heard the handling is not so good on them as they didnt get the same suspension as the gti's?
Is this true? Can anything be done about the handling such as lowering the springs or whatever?
cheers for any info

Where is this "hot of the press" info coming to you from. Of course it's going to handle better than a GTi. 4WD will in most every case be faster and handle better than a FWD.
Lowering the springs?
What year of the car is it and what kind.

not always true. it utterly depends on what type of wheelbase the car is on and whether the differential on the car is able to distribute power to the wheels evenly if one comes off the ground. I.E. i had a quick race with my mates 4motion and thrashed him round corners but got a raping on the straights. (i got a 1800 16 valver GTi mk2 oh and been dropped 60mm)
although seeing as its a v6 4motion i'm guessing that its gotta be fairly new so the diff on it should be sorted.
hope it helps

4motion is the same as AWD. Same technology as in the R32s.

How good of a driver is your friend Slick? Of course a 16v will beat it in corners, it's like a thousand pounds lighter.
