97 grand am electrical.

i was reading in another post.... the person was basically having the same type of problems with the check engine and ets sign comming on and off at the same time. it is really weird how this happened.... i went to the car wash and when i was done, my car was having idling problems at the light and stalled. So i started it back up with no prblems and drove it home. I leave later that night and its going and all of a sudden its acting like its not getting gas. id give it gas and the car would actually start to slow down. so i pull over stop let it sit start it and it starts right up. So i get on the freeway and bam same thing... whole car shuts down and dies while im on the freeway.... so i ended up being able to start it... get it off the freeway and into a parking lot. Takes me about 45 minutes to get it started... and its idling fine... once you start to give it a lot of gas and try to drive it starts to flutter out like its not getting any. so we tow it back to the house and my dad thinks it coudl be the fuel filter... replace it and same thing it will idle perfect until you put it in drive and start to drive it then it will just putter out. im thinking it is electrical... because of the car wash... but i really do not know where to begin. I read the post of the engine misfiring... but thats not what mine is i dont think... any help

i've had the same problem with my car, it wasn't electrical it is a vacuum hose underneath the mapp sensor, its l shaped and hard to see, i replaced mine and it fixed the problem..
