somewhere in the 13's or low 14's depends on how well you drive it...

You're most likely all talk and won't even get the engine, but anyways good luck breaking a into mid 14's. With a decent launch I'd say you could pull a mid 15 second pass especially with those 18" wheels

This thread will probably snowball into a large bitch session with little kids arguing over 1/4 times, hp to weight, the history of vtec and blah blah blah.. best answer to give you is to swap the engine, go race, then post timeslips. Until then talk is cheap.

first of all Ricochet........i wont be racing with 18s on. i have my stock 13s

second of all, i am getting the swap in about a month or so.........between now and then tho i will need to learn how to drive standard lol so my 1/4mile times wil be weak until i get used to manual. also, does anyone know where i can run 1/4 miles legally between upstate NY and Cape Cod, Mass?

You mean reality homie. There are hundreds of threads with kids asking how to get their Civics to run 9's, what turbo to put on which swapped engine, etc.. and you never hear back from them. I was making an assumption based off statistics. dxon18's did you order yours yet? When you do let me know where you get it from. If you pay less than $5k it'll be a good deal. Wow, $5k.. you could get a turbo sohc running high 12's with that, but hey to each his own.

those 13's will hold the power of a c5 with no problem!!

civicHBs1.......are u being serious or are u kidding about the stock 13s handling the C5? if they cant, please tell me what will so i can buy them.

also, i am ordering the swap in about 3wks to a month and its 4195 shipped, 10k-35k miles on it......basically the only things it doesnt come with are the rotors, the front fenders, the bumper and supports, and the firewall, and dash.........its got everything else. so is this a good deal or what?

Sounds like a good price to me. The torqueier (is that even a word) 1.8 liter will spin the tires right off the wheels man, get some 15x6.5 or 7 rims and some good rubber, and you'll be launching like a champ. Post pics too.

It may up the value about a grand depending on who you sell it to because who puts in a powerful engine to drive the car like a granny? Sad but true.. That's why if you're going to put a big swap in, plan on keeping the car for a long time.
