So if any of you guys can figure this out i'll be happy. My 01 Z24 with 31k on it makes a rattle bearing type noise from the trans(manual) area when its been driven for 30 minutes or so, when it gets hot. You pull into a parking lot and put it in first or even second and hold the rpms out a bit and let of the gas and a noise that rattles, sounds like a dry bearing comes out from it. This only occurrs when its been driven for awhile. After it cools down such in the morning its quite as can be. It takes longer for the noise to occur when the temp colder outside than if it's warmer. Could this be a trans fluid problem or possible presuure release bearing problem, cause the dealer is to lazy to figure it out. If any of you guys have had a smilar noise let me know and what you found out.

There was a TSB on this before...I believe it said to check the motor/tranny mount on the affected side where the noise is coming from-they rattle when they get beat. Usually when load is being applied.

I am having the same thing with my 2000 gt, it has a 2001 z24 engine in it, with approx. 25000 km. Same thing with the mechanics not being able to figure it out??? it sounds to me like its coming from the from around the timing chain area, sound similiar?
