I have some Mini Hood Questions

Okay well, I don't have a Mini, I have a g35 but my girlfriend has a base model. I had a few questions. She put a dent in her hood right above the grill where the "mini" symbol is. It's fairly large. We went to the body shop guy and he gave us some prices. He said it would be VERY hard to repair and it would cost 500 dollars to remove the dent, paint it, and re-strip the car. Or, 740 dollars for a new hood, with paint, with the stripes. What I wanted to do is I wondered this; If she did get a new hood would the S hood (with the airscoop) fit on the base mini? Do we need anything else to make it fit (it looks alot cooler)? If not, I would like to find out how much a carbon-fiber hood is and if it would be cheaper then 740 dollars to just buy the hood since the do not need to be painted. Please let me know, thanks
