I hate to say it but those bronze rims look good. Does have 18's give alot of ride degradation ?
It looks really good though .....

Thanx for all the good comments...but actually their gold but close enough ;)
I was kinda hesitant about getting gold wheels at first but I pretty much said f*ck it, if it looked bad I'll sell them or something, but since I've got them, I've had nothing but good comments on them, so they're a keeper, for sure. I have my 18's on some 215/40 rated Yokohama Parada's and the ride did get a little stiffer but still comfortable and it got more controllable, it didn't feel like I was gonna float off the highway anymore. Now its time for my drop, this is what scares me the most when it comes to ride quality, but I know it'll turn out good so I'm crossing my fingers.
b-boogie - speaking of 19's, if i had a choice I'd get these...their two piece forged aluminum ultra light wheels - the D-06's by Dronell...mmmm..I wish these came in gold hehe :D

Correct me if Im wrong, but shouldnt you be running 35 profiles on 18 inch wheels? Im also running 215 40's, but that is on 17 inch wheels. I suppose it doesnt matter to much, you will just end up with a bigger diameter wheel.

actually with 17's you should use 215/45/17's ...with 40's you are undersizing.. w/ the 45's you are over sizing but by half as much as the 40's would undersize you... neither of these are extremes and you can barely notice...
to get as close to the stock overall diameter you should use 225/35/18 or 215/40/18(not every company makes these).... 215/35/18 is a smidge to small... and 225/40/18 (what i use) is just a smidge oversized ;)
i run them a bit bigger (i think its 8 tenths of an inch bigger overall) because where i live there are enormous potholes!!! :(
i used to run ultra low 215/35/18's and blew out and totally damaged my 2 rear wheels... had to get new ones ($500 each) and i got bigger tires all around... so i learned the hard way :(

Sorry. I was refering to the standard wheel size on a p10, not a p11. It has 195/60/14's which is an overall diameter of 23.2 inches. Hence why I use 215/40/17's (Overall diameter of 23.7). That extra inch makes all the difference!

b-bOOgie.....how do you get on with your 18"s?
I have 235/40/18 and i'm thinking of trading down to 17"s as i'm finding that when i hit big potholes the tyres rub on the guards. After getting them lipped which i thought would fix the problem, they still do it every now and then.
I have now found out now that it is the sideways movement of the wheel in the arch which really surprised me.
Dont really want to go to a smaller size like a 35 series etc, as like you said ,as it makes the ride worse and in case of blowouts.

i havent had any problems at all... only time my car has ever rubbed is on the rear wheels.. if i have 3 guys in the back and i go through a big dip...
i'm not sure what going to 17" wheels will accomplish... as the outside diameter of the tire is still the same... or should be...
whenever people meet me and they have g20's (p11) they tell me they're gonna get 17's.. and then they see my car and i tell them i have 18's... they always say.. "oh they fit?" ...i scratch my head and wonder... dont they know the diameter of the tire stays the same? (as best you can by following that chart)
primera man, if you take a look... you are running a tire which is 1 inch bigger than stock... maybe 225/35/18's would be better... or what i have 225/40/18's which is about 1/4 inch bigger than stock...
also... what width is your wheel? mine are 18x7 ..i have heard of people using 18x7.5 dont know if their's rub when they make turns.. but mine do not... and i'm actually thinking about going to a 19x7.5 wheel size ;)
hmm... Jason? can we cut these posts out and move it to another thread somehow? ....i hate to get off topic and steal nismoboy1's glory... afterall this thread is about HIS car lol... :D

Yeah i see your point now (pays to read all the forum first). Mine are 45 series, not 40's as i sent in the last email so i think along with a 3" lowering job, it dont go together to well at them big dips. Teach me for taking the tyre mans word and not looking into it my self more.
At least i filled up the arch with tyre/rim..LOL
P.S ..Sorry to steal your glory nismoboy1 with that fine car of yours.

thanx again for all the good comments guys...and don't worry about getting off-topic, it's cool...;)
but i'm gonna jump on the band-wagon too or should i say the primera wagon (ok, that was lame)...:D
anyways...some of you guys are running some biga$$ tires...235/40, 225/40 damn  i'm running 215/40 and that's supposed to be pretty close to stock diameter and I haven't experienced any rubbing or anything. and potholes aren't that bad either (maybe i haven't hit the right one yet hehe lol)
b-boogie - i have 18x7.5 all around and i haven't experience any problems with these rubbing, so i believe 19x7.5 should be fine with the right tire say 215/35 or maybe 225/35 :licker:

wait....b-b00gie, u sure we can use 235s for 17inch wheels? Assuming we get the correct offset of the wheels, wouldn't that be a big too wide for the G?
anyway, pretty nice wheels Nismoboy, however, you definitly need to lower it..SO, buy my eibach springs please!!!!! heheh, $175SHIPPED!!! :D

i was just highlighting the closest match to the outside diameter... which stock is 24.2
235/40/17 is 24.0
and
215/45/17 is 24.4 ...i'd go w/ the 215 cause of the rubbing issue.. ;)

this is what i've been told to get on the different diameter wheels as far as tire sizes:
15x6 - 195/60 stock
16x7 - 205/50
17x7 or 17x7.5 - 215/45
18x7 or 18x7.5 - 215/40
19x7.5 or 19x8 - 225/35
Note: these are sizes for a p11 and as close as possible to the stock overall diameter without rubbing...:flash:

my 18x7.5's have a +42mm offset with 215/40 rated tires and they look fine, no rubbing either ;) i say anywhere from +42mm to +45mm offset you'll be ok :frog:
Chris

Sounds good. I don't know all the offsets an dsuch, but you should inclued that a 7.5 inch wide rim uses a 225 diameter tire.
Good luck!
