New Ad Experimentation

Hey guys, the previous thread about this got 'lost' :-p

Anyway... we are currently experimenting with new ad serving system... it is not supposed to serve any popups, but it sometimes does, at which time I have to manually disable them for them to go away. This should rarely happen, but when it does, please let me know by posting a reply here explaining what kind of a popup you got.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.

I got that earlier today . . . it was an ad for some company that'll help people repair their credit . . . something like that.

It was pretty persistent too . . . I had to close like 3 or 4 windows that popped up . . .

Hey man,

no need to apologize . . . you said you'd keep that stuff out of here, and you do a great job of keeping your word.

besides . . . I haven't seen that ad since that happened to me . . .

nice to see you back for a little bit . . .

There's something different in my IE browser setup between home and work, and I never get pop-ups at work. Instead, at work, sometimes I get a message about how my settings don't allow Active X controls to be displayed, then the ad doesn't load. I wonder if they're related...

If I figure out the difference, I'll let y'all know.

Not as many pop-ups on IE now, but I still get quite a few if I use AOL's browser.
