2004 Yukon XL Denali Remote recode

Need instructions to resync 2 keys/remotes for 2004 Yukon. Followed the following procedure but no luck:

1. Close all vehicle doors.
2. Insert the key into the ignition.
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver’s door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release.
4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).
6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically.
10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds.
11. Repeat the previous step for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

Transmitter Synchronization
Resynchronization may be necessary due to the security method used by the remote keyless entry system. The transmitter does not send the same signal twice to the passenger door module (PDM).
The PDM will not respond to a signal that has been sent previously. This prevents anyone from recording and playing back the signal from the transmitter.
The panic button should still operate normally when the system is out of synchronization.
Resynchronization may be necessary under the following conditions:
The battery in the transmitter is very weak.
The battery in the transmitter was replaced.
The battery in the vehicle has been in a low or no charge condition for an extended period of time.
In order to resynchronize the transmitter with the PDM, perform the following steps:
Stand within 1.5 meters (5 ft) from the vehicle.
Simultaneously press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter for 7 seconds.The door locks should cycle in order to confirm resynchronization.

I'm having trouble with my remote as well. I had to replace the battery on one of my remote. Only the unlock and panic button works on the remote. The lock button doesn't work. I went through the same procedure that arboex went through. Still no luck. I figured I give this forum a tried before going to the dealers. Any help on this would be great. Thanks in advance.
