2001 AWD Transfer Case swap To Hi/Lo Part Time

Does anybody know if there is a transfer case swap that will give me a part time (manually activated) hi/lo ?
:confused:

I don't care for the full time transfer case that comes with the AWD. I went to a few dealers and they told me the Astro AWD is a one of a kind item and none seemed to understand what the word "interchangeable" meant.
I just can't believe that GM makes only one transfer case for the Astro and all others for the Silverado - Blazer - or any other v6 are different.
