Hiya
I'm thinking of replacing my original Japanese FM/AM stereo with a Sony CD player. Has anyone done this as a DIY before? Need advice on removing the original stereo (covers, etc).
I've done this on my mates cars before but theirs are usually fairly straightforward. The CD players usually fit perfectly in the car and the actual cover around the stereo, that we remove in order to access the wiring, are easily removeable.
The stereo portion on my Windom is twice the size of a stereo portion in any other car. The cover around the stereo area seems to be one whole piece. So I'm thinking there may be another way to remove the original stereo. Noticed a thin piece of cover between the stereo and the cup holders which may be removeable??
Have no idea how to tackle this!! Any advice please??!!
