HELLO?

Since the threads have dried up a little I'm posting this. . . I don't know what this is yet but, well, umm. . . Whatever

www.camdensuperchargers.com
They have a new fuel injected supercharger system. I'm excited, aren't you? I've got about $600 socked away for it so far. Yeah I have a ways to go eh.

I think I'm going to sell my car (dodges a brick), don't worry though I want to get a vert to go with that supercharger, I am really enamored of this idea. A supercharged vert MMMMmmMMMM.

seems expensive for the slight power gain... I mean the power gain is good but not worthy of 3800 if you ask me...

my thoughts exactly. I'd go for the turbo 2 swap instead unless you just want to be different.

I could build a supercharged rx-7 for less than $500 with a supercharger from a 3.8 ford engine...

how is that dayna? I'm curious how you would go about that.

yea, I'd like some info on your $500 supercgarger too, might be something I'd be interested in buying from you in the future if you were willing to make it... not anytime soon but still, I want some details if you would bless us all with your knowledge :)

My $500 number is just an estimate.
But some of the parts would include things like:

SC from 3.8 litre Ford.
AIC (REbic II maybe)
misc pulleys from other engines machined or grafted onto rotary pulleys. you could also go to a electric water pump to free up the water pump pulley.

misc aluminum stock to make misc brackets to mound SC and Alternator.
a bit of aluminum tubing or PVC to plumb into SC from AFM and then from SC into TB.

All of the stuff i have mentioned i have in the parts room at the shop... and could be fitted to a car at any time.. too bad we have way too many other more important projects.

yea, too bad... you think that supercharger of yours would make a non-turbo match up with a TII?

yeah, the N/A has higher stock compression... with enough fuel and proper tuning 5-7 PSI would get the N/A to be faster than the TII more power... and lag-less boost.

BTW, I think we have an old Camden from a 13B street-port still around somewhere if someone is really interested i can go digging for it..

this one was set-up for a 4v flange if i remember right.

what kind of custom work would you have to do to mount the SC to the engine?

wow, i like this sc idea a lot, def gotta look into that more. 5 psi sounds good to me, especially with 9:1 compression (is that right?). I was actually about to ask around if anyone had done that yet.

I believe it's 9.7:1 for the n/a

s4= 9.4:1
s5= 9.7:1
all turbos=9.0:1
