87' Jeep Chero Pioneer Water Pump and Nocking Noise Problems

I am replacing the water pump on my Jeep, and can't get the Power Stering pump loose to remove my belts, What can I do ?
I also have a problem with a ticking noise once truck is started up. After and above around 40mph it stops, but once below 40mph again it starts up and it's not the valves sticking. I am the original owner and it has 200k miles...
