how to repair dents

i have a minor dent on the drivers side of my car. its right by the rear wheel well and i have no idea how to fix it....so i need some ideas on how to fix it....thanks

haha... i'm the wrong person to ask on body work.. haha... wanna hear some BAD ADVICE... try the ding king... by the way.. has anyone ever tried using the thing.. i hear so many bad things about it

i bought it for like $15 and tried it on my car....didnt work at all.

I've got a dent in the exact same place, no idea how it got there. When I get some $$, the guy at the Honda Dealership said he'd fix it for around $80.

If you want to get it done right and get some experience doing it...just get some fiberglass...long hair EVERGLASS...sand the spot down with some 120 then spread the fiberglass, filling the dent while covering about twice as much space as the dent takes up...then sand it, prime, sand....SPRAY

You don't have to use fiberglass, plain, ordinary bondo works just fine. But painting is easier than it sounds (to get it looking good). It may also be hard to match the exact color depending on fading of the original paint.

If you have the money, get it done somewhere, they have all kinds of ways to get those out, otherwise, try it yourself.

The Ding King and other similar devices work...well kinda. I guess it really depends on how severe the dent is. I had 4 minor dents w/ 1 being slightly more severe than the rest and it completely made 3 of them disappear. The other dent however is still somewhat noticable and can probably only be fixed by a pro. For the $$$ though I was impressed and cant complain. Hope that helps somewhat.
