2000 Grand Prix Keyless Trunk problem

I have a 2000 Grand Prix with keyless entry. My doors work fine, but just recently the trunk will not open with the keyless. The headlights flash when I press the button, as they are supposed to, but the trunk doesn't pop. I get the same result when I try to open the trunk with the glove compartment button, it doesn't pop the trunk. I can, of course open the trunk with my key, but I would sure like to fix the keyless option. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm actually having the same issue on my 01. The weird thing is, both will work if I close the trunk "gently" before trying to open it. When I slam it shut it won't seem to open using those two methods :confused:

check to see if the wire hooked at the trunk soliniod in trunk.or you have bad soliniod

The wires seem to be connected ok. Excuse my ignorance please, but when you referred to the soliniod, is that the same thing as the electronic trunk opener itself. If not, where is the soliniod located?
